How to leave a voice channel in Discord application is not rocket science once you know which icons to choose. Unfortunately, the Discord app is not as easy to use like Skype, for example. But it offers so much more, and it is the best voice chatting SW for gamers due to its functions and low CPU and ram needs.
If you are having issues with leaving the voice channel, you’ve come across the right article. Let’s take a look at how to do it on Windows, Mac, Android, and iPhone.
How to leave a Discord voice channel
Depending on which device you are trying to achieve this, the tutorial will differ slightly. Choose a tutorial by the device you are using. With our screenshot by screenshot guide, you should be able to learn this in less than a minute.
Discord Computer Application
If you want to leave a Discord voice channel on a computer (Mac or Windows) application, follow these simple steps:
- Open the Discord app on your desktop
- Select the server on which is the voice channel from which you want to leave in your sidebar
- Click on the telephone icon with x above your username
Congratulations, you have disconnected from the voice channel in the Discord server. But you have done only that, and you are still connected to that server. Only the voice channel is disconnected.
Android & iOS application
- Open your Discord app
- Choose the server, which has the voice channel you would like to leave from the left sidebar
- Tap on “General”
- Tap on the red button with the telephone icon and x to leave the voice channel
As you can see, leaving voice channels is quite easy if you have the know-how. And now you know how you can do this on your smartphone and as well on the desktop.
Unfortunately, if you have connected to the voice channel on your computer, you won’t be able to leave that channel on your smartphone, which is a bit silly since you can use the same account on both devices. So if you forget to disconnect and you leave your pc, you cannot disconnect on your phone and vice versa. Hopefully, they will fix this in their future updates.
