Not every Snapchat update is a good one. Especially if you have not updated your app in a while. Many things on the app can be changed, and some filters may be tough to find. And that is not the worst part.
Some updates do not even work properly on Android and sometimes even old iPhones. The app keeps crashing or failing to upload photos. For that reason, many people try to go to the previous version.
Unfortunately, there is no quick way how to un update the app. But don’t worry, with our step-by-step guide, you will “un update” your Snapchat app in just a few moments.
Before you follow how to un update the Snapchat guide, please change your settings to update Snapchat automatically!

How to get rid of the new Snapchat update
Unfortunately, there is no way to revert back to the previous Snapchat version. But with this guide, you will be able to install the previous or even older Snapchat app.
- Uninstall your Snapchat app
- If you are using Android, click here to download one of the older Snapchat apps
- You will have to enable installs from unknown sources
- Install the downloaded old version of Snapchat
- Log in to your account
Congratulations, you are now using an updated version of Snapchat. If you have not downloaded the correct version, follow this tutorial one more time and download an older or newer version.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way how to get the previous version of the Snapchat app on iPhone or iPad. The only thing you can do is to stop automatic updates as instructed above and use the same version without updates.
If you genuinely need to use an older version of Snapchat and you are willing to do anything. You can jailbreak your iOS device. But with that, you will lose the warranty. And no one can guarantee you that the jailbreak will work or that it won’t harm your device.
