How does Instagram order the following list?
In the past, Instagram used to sort the following list Alphabetically, not by the username, but by the profile’s name.
Back in 2019, the sorting was, in a way, that the most recent followings were at the top of the list.
But nowadays, it is very random, unfortunately. There is probably some algorithm for this, but it is definitely more sophisticated than it was in the past.
From our little research, it appears that usually at the top are usually few large accounts, but other than that, it seems pretty random.
